I'll try to keep this reply short. ...Hi Tracey,
I'll try to keep this reply short. :)

When I was round 9 years old, my parents looked into the pagan origins of the modern church traditions. We read Scripture that touched on the heart of the matter and decided as a family unit to no longer celebrate them. BUT, we didn't understand about Yahweh/God's Feasts pertaining to us today... we didn't know what we were missing!

Life kept happening and we were learning more and more about the Greek mindset vs. the Hebrew mindset over the years. Our eyes were being opened to more of Scripture and we were gaining more understanding as we continued to learn how to study in context (word studies helped a great deal, too).

Fast forward... about 5 years ago we were introduced to Yahweh's Feasts... doing Bible things in Bible ways. So many things came together around the same time for us: Yahweh blessed us with friends who celebrated them and they helped us to learn; we were reading the "Celebrating Biblical Feasts in Your Home and Church" book recommended by MFW; we were learning more about the Bible Roots of the Christian faith vs. common misunderstandings being taught from Scripture and man-made traditions rooted in pagan origins found in the modern church today.

The biggest blessing is understanding how to walk in obedience to Yahweh because we love Him. His Feasts are so prophetic... shadows of things to come. It amazes to me still that the modern holiday traditions will all be gone and in the Millennium people will travel up to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot! "And it shall come to pass, that everyone that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles." Zechariah 14:16 KJV

It's equally exciting to learn and understand that Yahweh, our Creator, has His own calendar and that it's Prophetic! :) There is so much joy in Truth!

El Shaddi Ministries, Passion for Truth Ministries, and 119 Ministries have some helpful studies on this topic.

Blessings to you as you seek Truth and search with all of your heart!
Heather Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10444455148569836888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4673853903762069501.post-77180186458268367862016-02-16T16:02:51.257-08:002016-02-16T16:02:51.257-08:00Heather, did something in MFW prompt you to start ...Heather, did something in MFW prompt you to start looking at the Biblical Feasts?
