Jesus' Resurrection- Noah Plan W8, Q1

I appreciate so much how the Noah Plan helps me to guide my children in learning about Jesus' overcoming death and that He lives. This lesson doesn't stop there. We read from Scripture about this account and discuss from the lesson plan about the significance of the resurrection.

Did you ever stop to wonder why Christ's resurrection is significant? Would we have any assurance of the future resurrection of men if our own Savior wasn't resurrected? Looking up the definition of resurrection in Webster's 1828 Dictionary

(you can buy it here) helps me to explain what the word resurrection means. Needless to say that when I pull the dictionary out for use during our lesson, it helps my children to become familiar with the idea of a dictionary even if my Kindergartner is unable to read many of the words in it.

RESURREC'TION, n. s as z. [L. resurrectus, resurgo; re and surgo, to rise.]

A rising again; chiefly, the revival of the dead of the human race, or their return from the grave, particularly at the general judgment. By the resurrection of Christ we have assurance of the future resurrection of men. 1Peter 1.

In the resurrection, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage. Matt. 22.

I love taking this time to share with my children how Jesus' resurrection has effected me personally. I am thankful to share with them what Jesus' resurrection means for all of mankind.

For our notebook work, my daughter wanted to color in a picture of Jesus' resurrection. I save the use of metallic and glitter crayons for special coloring pages like this. :)

Download your free notebooking pages! There are four to choose from!

A coloring page of Jesus' Resurrection and a traceable title here.

A coloring page of Jesus' Resurrection and child rule space to write the title here.

A page to draw and color or paper craft Jesus' Resurrection and traceable title here.

I also appreciate the encouragement with blogging. I got behind a little with colds going around. It's nice to know people are still reading posts even when blogging has to slow down. Thanks so much!
