Joseph and His Brothers- The Noah Plan Quarter Two, Week Six

The Noah Plan- Bible
Quarter 2, Week 6

{Download your free notebook pages at the end of this post!}

There is much to learn about from the historical account of Joseph and his brothers. In particular, we talked about Isaac being a respecter of persons by having a favorite child:

"Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:" Acts 10:34

Since God is not a respecter of persons... should we be? What problems may arise from favoritism?

What do we learn about Joseph when he is grown and his brothers come to him asking for help? As we discussed about Joseph keeping Benjamin with him, our oldest son shared that he thought Joseph was testing his brothers by seeing if they were still selfish and of a jealous nature.

Here's what the kids did for their notebook pages:

My Kindergartner wanted to do a water color project. (There's a mini tutorial toward the end of this post).

One of ours wanted to color a coloring page:

Another one of ours decided to illustrate this historical on her own.

Mini-Tutorial:

I cut out the free printable figure of Joseph in his robe (included in the notebook page download).
I glued it down on the notebook page.
I took Gesso and covered Joseph's robe with a thin layer of it.

Next, I tore small pieces of tissue paper and pressed it to the Gesso.

Lastly, she painted the robe of many colors by tapping water color on the tissue paper.

Here again is the final result!
