Cup #wordstudywednesday

Do you enjoy sipping tea?

There are so many pretty cups to sip from.

Tea cups are special. Each set we own in our family has been a special gift.

In life, we are given many pretty cups of blessings and favors by our Lord to enjoy. The loveliest of all being the gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ. To me, this is the most valued *cup* of my life... and I want to sip of it daily... throughout the day. To treasure it as it deserves.... instead of gulping it down and *getting on with the business and cares of life.*

I also looked up the key word deliverance in the definition for cup. It means, "To release from captivity, slavery, oppression, or any restraint."

He hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives. Luke 4.

Yes. Sip... meditate on this... be thankful... be joyful... this is a precious cup.

You may expect that I then looked up the key word redemption as well. If you did, you would be right. The sixth definition for this word is: "In theology, the purchase of God's favor by the death and sufferings of Christ (Yeshua); the ransom or deliverance of sinners from the bondage of sin and the penalties of God's violated law by the atonement of  Christ."

In whom we have redemption through his blood. Eph. 1.

Sip... meditate on this... my cup runneth over... I cannot take it all in one gulp.

There is so much thanksgiving inside of me for what Jesus Christ has done for my deliverance and my redemption! My cup runs over with thanksgiving and joy! How can there not be when I am loved so much?

Amidst the business of life...

...are you sipping from the most precious *cup* of all?
