Did you realize that the science of chemistry was created by God on the first day of Creation? Genesis 1:1 tells us:

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters."

I went to look it up in Webster's 1828 Dictionary and learned this. So I looked it up under the spelling from back in the day and this is the definition:

 Webster's 1828 Dictionary:

CHIMISTRY, n. Chimistry is a science, the object of which is to discover the nature and properties of all bodies by analysis and synthesis.
Chimistry may be defined, that science, the object of which is to discover and explain the changes of composition that occur among the integrant and constituent parts of different bodies.

(I wonder why the spelling and pronunciation was changed for the word Chimistry. I also wonder when it was changed....)

This is such a neat experiment to teach young children about molecules! I love the Bible Principle applied to it as well. I look forward to talking about the Bible Principle with our children once they see the results of the experiment.

So, this is what we are doing today for our "Saturday Science With Dad!" day. We do the experiment and then wait over night. We'll see what happens!

Download your free notebook pages:

Traceable title with images to color in and a traceable title with boxes to draw glasses in (whichever your child prefers).

(whichever suits your child).

I'd love to know how the notebook pages work for you with this experiment! Please leave a comment. Thanks! :)

Blessings!
Heather
